Kurds and Turks at Five Major Historical Crossroads

This study examines the important events that Kurds and Turks encountered in the historical process by considering them at five junctions within the framework of a model. These intersections; Malazgirt, Alparslan - Mervanis and Kurds. Çıldıran, Yavuz Sultan Selim – İdrisi Bitlis-i and the Kurds. Cizira Botan, Mahmut II/Abdülmecit - Bedirhan Bey and the Kurds. Erzincan, II. Abdulhamid – Hamidiye Regiments and Kurds. It is examined under the headings of Erzurum, Mustafa Kemal and the Kurds. As in all historical developments, each intersection is affected by the previous intersection and also affects the next one.

After the fifth intersection, he examines Erbil/Hewler, Özal-Berzani/Talabani and the Kurds, and finally the Kurds and the Kurdish problem and solutions in the process we are going through, which will reveal the color of the situation. This study, which mirrors the historical sources of the Kurdish issue and the thousand-year historical process of Kurdish-Turkish relations, offers a perspective that will help us build a right future by examining the past with an objective perspective.
