Özdemir Asaf expressed his intense thoughts and sensibilities through short poems that he wrote in small verses, without letting anyone know that he chose striking words. Later, he wrote wise quatrains, some inspired by a book, some by the impressions he had gleaned from life. "Our job was difficult. It was necessary to compose a poem among thousands of poems. Özdemir Asaf wanted many of his poems to turn yellow in notebooks and magazine pages.
