Bauhaus: Design of Modernization
Beyond a style or an educational movement, the Bauhaus idea refers to a cultural, economic and social modernization program that has been in effect in Europe since the 1850s. It represents the belief that a "new" life can be designed. In the context of Germany's cultural influence policies, he was influential in the modernization attempts of the last Ottoman administrations, but especially the founding cadres of the Republic. The contribution of Bauhaus rationalism is important in structuring cultural policies and educational reforms aimed at combining art with the industrialization drive.
