Bediüzzaman Said Nursi knitted the Risale-i Nur movement patiently like a hoop embroidery, tried to keep the relations between his students warm, and did not want the slightest gap or the slightest gap to come between them. For this, he had to have a close dialogue with his students. Master Said Nursi found the way to this dialogue. He was building a bridge between Nur students through Lahika Letters, meeting with them, discussing with them and answering their questions. Thus, he integrated with them in the warmth of a family environment. When there were some random conflicts, anger and resentment among the students, Bediuzzaman would immediately intervene with his wise and effective style, reconcile them within the framework of the principle of fana fi'l-ihvan, give them moral strength and employ them among the wheels of the service again. While establishing all these relationships, Bediuzzaman had only one tool at his disposal: Lahika Letters. In this respect, Lahika Letters are of great importance for the Risale-i Nur movement.
It is also noteworthy that, although the Lahika Letters were written by the same master and his students, they have a cyclical course and style in terms of their content and the subjects they touch upon. The periodic contents of the Lahika Letters, which are essentially considered as three separate periods and named after the periods in which they were written, are also different.
Barla Lahika has the nature of an introduction since it is one of the first period sarcophagi. In the Barla Lahika prepared by our publishing house, the letters that Master Bediüzzaman wrote to the Nur students and the letters that the Nur students wrote to Bediüzzaman are collected in two separate sections. The letters written by the Master to Nur students in the first section have been classified according to those who had a more intense communication and relationship with him. The same order was followed in the letters that Nur students wrote to the Master.
