This book is a call for peace to the leading rulers of our world, which is sinking into the swamp of the Middle East. Born in the Puglia Region of poor Southern Italy, Middle East expert thinker, writer and poet Giuseppe Goffredo deals with the problems of the "left behind" countries of the Southern Mediterranean, including his homeland Italy, with a philosophical approach and personally in his book. He produces solutions in the light of the difficulties he experiences.

Referring to the importance of "interstate peace" and "cultural disarmament", which are the concepts that our planet needs most in recent years, the author states that world peace can only be achieved when Western societies cleanse their minds from the weapons they use against other cultures and respect the beliefs and traditions of "others". He emphasizes that he believes it can happen.

He explains by giving examples from history and today that labeling all Arab-Muslim people as "terrorists", just as everyone born in Southern Italy is labeled "man of the Mafia", is nothing but racism.

The Pains of the Peace Process sheds light on both state administrators and readers from all walks of life who are concerned about the future of our planet.
