The Kurdistan issue is a fragmented nation-country issue. It is the result of the world order established after World War I and the fact that the Kurdish nation was not included in the world state system on which this order was based. I say that the permanent solution to this problem is an Independent-United Kurdistan. This is a strategic goal and the programs of Kurdistani parties should focus on this goal. I am not saying that this can be achieved in one go and without going through any intermediate stages. We can consider the developments in Southern Kurdistan and Western Kurdistan (federation, canton) as examples of these intermediate stages. We should be aware that these are temporary solutions, not permanent. The war in the south and west of Kurdistan has taken on a new form. We are no longer at the stage of partisan struggle, we have to defend our lands alongside partisan struggle (Peshmerga, guerrilla warfare). In today's world, the only political form of defending lands is becoming a state. To put it in its simplest form, you cannot have warplanes and you cannot have interstate airways without becoming a state. When you are attacked by warplanes, you do not have the defense systems to protect yourself against them. The main reason for the disaster we have experienced from Shengal to Kobani is the failure to establish a state.
