The stars don't fit in my palms
In an interview dated January 1, 1953, Cahit Sitki Taranci asked, "Can you tell us briefly about your life?" water answers the question:
I was born in Diyarbakır in 1910. After primary school, I went to Istanbul. I studied at the French school, Galatasaray, and Mülkiye. I was in Paris for nearly two years. I have been working as a translator for a long time. It's been more than a year since we got married. I have no other ambition than writing beautiful poetry.
Apart from his poems, letters and stories, the writings and interviews of Cahit Sitki Taranci, a real literary worker who built his whole life on the basis of poetry, his "first and last love", were brought together in Stars Doesn't Fit in My Palms. This valuable work, which was first published in 1995 with the title Writings, offers important information to its lovers about the poet's understanding of literature.
