Why are economic collapse, wars, destruction, hatred, fratricide, violence, drug consumption, crime, contempt for women and children, cruelty and oppression increasing all over the world? We proudly call the environment we live in “civilization”, but the laws and powers that prevail within civilization have developed an independent entity from us, targeting our spiritual and physical well-being.
Why don't we learn from the past? Despite living in the information society age and the high level of science, why can't we leave the past behind?
Empathy is a barrier that separates us from our inhumanity. The history of our civilization is not only intertwined with the suppression and fragmentation of compassion, but also forms its basis. The history of civilization is also the history of empathy and its development, to which this book is dedicated.
