1925 Kürt Ulusal Ayaklanması Şeyh Said İsyanı
Calls are shouting in the neighborhoods, streets and streets that Sheikh Said is coming . The people of Diyarbakır waited for their way in sadness behind the military barricade with bayonets and barrels pointed at them. As the Sheikh passed, people were crying, and in an effort to make his voice heard, they were cheering him up by saying, "Such things happen in wars." Sheikh Said was dignified. He held his head high. He was looking around as if greeting his people. His eyes wandered far away, sometimes he looked at the purple mountains.”
The Sheikh Said case was combined with other cases and became a case in which 81 people were tried. It started on May 26. The courtroom was turned into a demonstration area. The court was nominally open to the public, but in reality the public was kept away from the court at gunpoint. There were high-level government bureaucrats, their families and foreign guests. On June 28, the court announced its decision. 47 people were sentenced to death, and the rest were sentenced to prison and exile. A small number of people were also acquitted. The court also decided to close the lodges and zawiyas in 14 provinces and 2 districts under martial law. The death sentences were executed on the night of June 28th to 29th.
