  • Names, aims, etc. of Kurdish rebellions and resistances. All definitions regarding its nature have been made by the official ideology according to the interests of the state and the rulers. For this reason, the Koçgiri Rebellion was called "Alişan Bey Movement", the Dersim Resistance was called "Seyit Rıza Rebellion", and the 1925 Youth Rebellion was called "Sheikh Sait Rebellion". Positional resistances, most of which are not rebellions and are mainly carried out against the state's policies of destruction, denial and assimilation, have been called "rebellions" under various names. In this context, the name of the 1925 Kurdish Rebellion, which was in a different position than others in terms of both the development of the event and its results, was later changed. From the beginning until the rebellion was suppressed, it was mentioned as the "Young Incident" or "Young Kurdish Rebellion" in the Turkish Grand National Assembly minutes, the national press, General Staff records and British secret documents. However, after a warning letter sent by the General Staff to the government (memorandum dated 30 April 1341 (1925) and numbered 1835/2270), it was identified with the Islamic personality of Sheikh Sait, one of the leaders of the movement, and was called "Sheikh Sait Rebellion". Thus, the official discourse that the 1925 Kurdish Rebellion was a "reactionary and reactionary uprising" has been continued until today. The book tries to outline a political and social period of approximately 14 years, starting from the end of 1924 until the autumn of 1938. This period of the Republic is the period of the Kemalist movement becoming a party, the formation of Kemalist principles, the consolidation and rise of the Kemalist power. These years were also the period when policies of continuous and systematic destruction, denial and Turkification were intensively implemented against the Kurds.
